Summary
Hopefully you have now finished your first Guitar and not only enjoyed the build but learned a lot on the way.
Your first build is always exciting and together with your notes/pictures I recommend you always keep it as a reminder. I have many of the Guitars that I have made over the years and they all act as great reminders.even though some of them are awful and some never finished always planning to return to them sometime when my skills improve.
Many fall on the wayside building a Guitar as it does take a lot of work and an awful lot of time but, if you are dedicated, you will no doubt be planning your next build. Before you do this though, and accepting that tools etc. can cost a lot of money, work out where you feel with a better tool some parts of the build would have been easier.
Do not fall into the trap that you must purchase new though. Personally a lot of my hand tools, especially chisels, are old and far better made than some of the new stuff. Power tools will need consideration as I always think that if someone is selling a Power tool there is a reason - is it knackered?
Some of the best made instruments in the World like Violins etc. were made a long time ago when beautiful new tools like today were not available. The Luthier used his skills - which is why I say that you will always be learning.
